"The haunting of history is ever present in Barcelona. I see cities as organisms, as living creatures. To me, Madrid is a man and Barcelona is a woman"

Carlos Ruiz Zafon

I found The Parc del Laberint d'Horta by Googling 'Undiscovered Barcelona', seeing a picture of a maze and then going to said maze (if you're ever wondering how to find good photoshoot locations, that approach will probably work out for you). The garden's the oldest of its kind in the city and sits on the former estate of the Desvalls family.

Location scouted, Enzo, Tomas, Brenda, Raz and I went to explore and shoot some of the styles from our new collection.

In the last few weeks, in my never-ending battle of trying to keep my belongings to a minimum vs seeing old film cameras I want on eBay, I picked up a 1989 Nishika N8000. Basically, it shoots "3D" photos by taking four photos at slightly different angles using their four-lens system. The camera was originally made for creating lenticular prints (remember those cards/mousemats that would 'animate' if you turned them from side to side?) but in recent years have been repurposed to create digital animated GIFs.

They're a bit awkward to get processed, so you'll want to find a 35mm processing place that understands how to deal with the film, as it shoots four vertical frames across two regular landscape 35mm frames. That can be difficult for some processing machines to deal with. It took me two different film processing shops and three scanning attempts to get usable scans.
